wot i didn in BRISTOL

bristol...What has been happening?

i went to Bristol this weekend to catch up wit our friend adam, not to be confused with my brother of the same name (i will upload a great pic of him in a min) he was on good form as usual, it took even less time than usual for him to get into the his mental, anarchic mania than usual... which is a good thing as he is one of the few people who has the same sense of humor as lesley and i (our friend Cecile in Australia being the other (i probably spelt her name wrong sorry 'suppress'), but melbourne is a long way to go for a joke about marshmallows - cecile if you are reading this we will catch you on ichat soon, missing you...
i wont go into what adam les and i ended up talking about as i will end up sounding like those awful people who are always telling you how 'mad' they are and what a crazy sense of humor they have (remember the officebore on the fast show... please don't let people think i'm like him...) either that or you will think we are all very dangerous criminals... but one thing you can try at home is doing a running commentary on all your everyday chores to the tune of the verse of the hokey-cokey (not the in-ou-in-out chorus mind, that would spoil it....).... told you you think i weird now don't you? i suppose you had t be there really.

...anyway bristol was great as usual, i would love to live close to it so that it was my 'big town', much nicer than cardiff and bournemouth (sorry all my friends in both) the only downer was that we didn't meet any of the cast of casualty this time... not that i would recognize anyone anymore apart form our old friend charlie... we did get to see chris eubank when we went to see zoe and mike in brighton the other day so you would have though it was the least that bristol could have done for use don't ya....

while in bristol I had a bit f a spend-fest, which i regretted as all the way home, but i suppose its done now.. i got a lonely planet of southern India for my sister who is going off to work there for 9 weeks soon, expect a link to a blog site that i am going to set up for her here v.soon. i also bought adam a copy of the futureheads album which i introduced to him because of his love of robots:

I am a robot, living like a robot, talk like a robot, in the habititting way

Look up to the sky (robot), you can trample over me (robot)
Do anything you do, now the ground has gone

I am a robot, living like a robot, talk like a robot, in the habititting way

In the future we all die (robot), machines will last forever (robot)
Metal things just turn to rust, when you're a robot

I am a robot, living like a robot, talk like a robot, in the habititting way

The best thing is our life span (i don't mind)
We last nigh on hundred years (i don't mind)
If that mean's we'll be together i don't mind
I have no mind, i have no mind

Im programmed to follow you (robot), do exactly as you do (robot)
Now my nervous system's blue , i feel fine

I am a robot, living like a robot, talk like a robot, in the habititting way

The best thing is our life span (i don't mind)
We last nigh on hundred years (i don't mind)
If that mean's we'll be together i dont mind (i have no mind)
The best things last a life time (i have no mind)
When you age i will not change (i have no mind)
I think i'll be around forever if you dont mind

I have no mind, why don't (i have no mind) (robot)
(repeate)

www.futureheads.com.... another experiment to see if links work when blogging from an email...

Really like the furureheads at the moment, takes a while to get used to their voices but seeing their videos and live stuff on the dvd that adam got with the album they seem to have a good sense of humor, the only thing is the front man looks a bit frightening to me... don't know if i would like to see them live.... it isnt often that adam like the same sort of music to me so it was a special enough occasion to buy him the present....

he bough les and i a present also, infernal devices by phillip reeve, the sequel to the amazing 'mortal engines' and a 'predators gold' looking forward so much to reading it, ive got to be quick as les and her mum both want to read it really badly as well (i don't mean they will miss read words and read the chapters in the wrong order or anything like that - just hat they REALLY want to read it) - there will probably be a link for this in the side bar soon... i think i can do a link list via blogger and if i can that will all change so its not worth updating quite yet.

also bought 'happiness in magazines' by graham coxon for £15... dont know what came over me... what a rip off!!! it a great album but i could have bought it on itunes for £7.99... arrrggh. i am never buying another cd ever again... went and got a library card so i can get cds from the library... and... do something with them... that i cant talk about in public...

doctor who was great this week ... i wont start talking aboutit now otherwise i will really nerd out on you

..more bloggs soon

later's... ross
